The Mosquito Photo Gallery
Just a few pictures to remind everyone what we are fighting against.

The 1st picture is a postcard of a giant wax model (the hairs are made of brass wire) of an Anopheles mosquito. It was created around the turn of the century to inform New York City area residents about a dangerous outbreak of malaria, which is transmitted by mosquitoes. The model, first displayed at the Museum of Natural History in 1917-18, is seventy-five times life-size, and scientifically correct.
Postcard is from American Museum of Natural History.
